I'm not a horror fan, I'll come right out and say that. That being said, this book was recommended by a friend, and I liked it (and I finished it). It felt like a very twisted episode of Scoobie Doo. Maybe once called Scoobie Doo the monsters are real!Product details

Mansion William Thrash 9781481997102 Books Reviews
Overall the book was really good. It was scary and had all the components of a horror story. Loved the premise of the book. But there were a couple of things that really kept this from being a great book. One was the lack of dividing the sections. For the most part everything ran together. One paragraph you were in the parlor with one set of people the next paragraph it jumped to a completely different scene. It almost made you dizzy. The second big drawback, The cat. It was totally pointless and in no shape fit into the story. It left me scratching my head. Still does. But it was definitely worth the read.
